Designer Giuliana Coen Camerino founded her Venetian fashion house in 1945. Its name combines her husband’s surname with the title of the 1935 Hollywood film Roberta, starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The house became famous for its innovative use of rich fabrics traditionally associated with dressmaking. Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor were among a number of celebrity clients.
