Leather, silver, and metal thread
This case contains items used for personal hygiene, including tweezers, a comb made from tortoise-shell, nail scissors and a mirror. Its red leather exterior is decorated with an elaborately designed lock in the Rococo style. Birds and foliage are rendered in exuberant flourishes and the hand-stitched border creates a simple but complementary trailing pattern.
